The Therapy Frizz Remington flat iron produces gentle, infrared ionic heat which won’t destroy your hair and may actually help repair damaged follicles. The Remington Flat Iron was recently reviewed by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute.
You probably already have some kind of arsenal of tools if you are engaged in a war against frizz. The Remington Therapy Frizz Flat Iron (around $50) promises to reduce frizz up to 70 percent more than regular straightening irons with plates that are infused with micro conditioners. The Remington flat iron will help protect against humidity for up to 15 full hours.
The scientists at the Good Housekeeping Research Institute wanted to test these claims so they straightened swatches of curly hair with the Remington flat iron, a leading flat iron, and also the leading flat iron along with a popular anti-frizz serum. They put the swatches in a climate-controlled, high-humidity chamber for 15 hours. Test consumers were asked to style one-half their hair with the Remington flat iron and the other half with the leading flat iron. After six hours plus ten minutes in the climate-controlled chamber, they were assessed.
Results of the Remington Flat Iron
The results were surprising. The Remington flat iron was given a nearly perfect overall score. The lab tests showed that it combated frizz and kept the hair straight for the full 15 hours which outperformed both the leading flat iron as well as the leading flat iron plus the anti-frizz serum. The product testers all loved how the Remington flat iron controlled their waves, maintained their style, and all but eliminated frizz. One particular tester raved, “My hair looked straight even after a downpour on a humid summer night. It has to be one of the best flat irons I’ve ever tried.
